China Guodian Corporation launches the first youth innovation award selection to encourage young people to do well in their own jobs

China Electric Power News – Correspondent Guo Dian reports: Recently, the State Grid Corporation's Safety Production Department, Science and Technology & Comprehensive Industry Department, and Political Work Department jointly launched the first Youth Innovation and Efficiency Awards. This initiative aims to deepen youth innovation and efficiency activities, encouraging young employees to excel in their positions and play a vital role in building an "Innovative State Grid."

Youth Innovation and Efficiency refers to young employees leveraging their roles to drive technological and management innovations that meet the needs of enterprise production, operations, management, and research. These innovations result in safety, economic, environmental, and social benefits. The awards are divided into categories such as the "Five Small" Excellence Award for technological innovation, the R&D Innovation Award, and management innovation awards. These include, but are not limited to, equipment modifications, tool inventions, technical innovations, optimized designs, improved plans, management enhancements, andrationalization suggestions. The primary project leader must be under 35 years old, and at least 60% of the project team members must also be under 35.

The first awards program began in August and will complete initial reviews, re-evaluations, and approvals by the end of December. During the 2015 "May Fourth" period, a Youth Innovation Forum will be held to publicly recognize the winning projects and showcase their achievements. Based on the degree of innovation, technical difficulty, comprehensive benefits, and promotion and application, the awards will include 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes, and 20 third prizes for the "Five Small" Excellence Award.
